The Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology is housed in the Department of Biological Sciences on the Denton campus of the University of North Texas. The laboratory occupies approximately 2500 square feet of secure, restricted-access space. Due to the sensitive nature of the casework involved, the facility is not open to the general public or the university student population.

Dedicated space is designed for:

  • Dry skeletal analysis and casework
  • Wet decompositional casework
  • Microscopy and photography
  • Digital dental and digital flat-plate radiography
  • Bone histology
  • Secure archival case storage
  • Additional specialized analyses and equipment are available through cooperative agreements with associates at the university
